Kindred Connection:

Windy Poplars

If you do not know what this is, click the lpicture and read all about it. This is probably my most favorite blog party yet!

The questions this week are:
1. What is the most recent vacation you've been on?
The most recent vacation that I have been on is when I went to the Scotland border with Mr. Man and our boy. I know that is pretty sad, but it is true. Ask me this again in 9 days, and this answer won't be true anymore! Yippeeeee!

2. What is the destination of the vacation of your dreams?
Recently, I have came quite fond of Egypt. It is a destination that I just recently added to my travel list.
3. Do you have a favorite place you vacation to regularly?
The beach. I miss the beach. The beach was not really a vacation spot, though, because I lived 30 minutes from it. Another spot my family and I use to go to was waterparks, like Water World, Blue Bayou, and Slitterbahn (?sp). I really miss being able to do those things.
4. Vacation preference: beach, city, or mountains?
Here, it is mountains. Sometimes I get a craving for the city, like when I want to be energized and see specific things. I love the beach and always will, but since I lived on the beach, I will take the change for now.
5. Have you ever vacationed with a group of people (other than your family)? If so: How did you coordinate it, and would you do it again?
Let's see.. I have not vacationed with anyone other than family since I have been married. And before I was married, I was in high school... so I guess this answer is no. Boring..

Now, a little about today.
Today Mr. Man had to go in to work for the day because someone's wife is having medical issues. Technically he is suppose to be off (and will be off until next Tuesday), but Mr. Man offered himself to replace this guy so he could be with his wife. Understandable. I have no complaints whatsoever about that..
but today has been so weird for me. I am use to going all day with Mr. Man that I feel lost. I can't just so sit by him on the couch and snuggle up with him and the boy. I feel tired. I am probably tired because we go nonstop during the day and now my body is finally relaxed and is screaming at me to chill out. But I won't since it is just a one day thing, so I took advantage of the day and ran some errands that I have to do alone and did as much school work as possible so we could spend these next few days together.

I have decided to do the 101 things to do in 1001 days. I decided this a couple of months ago while Mr. Man was still gone. I started the list to see what I would want to accomplish, but it was hard to find 101 things. It's taking some time, but I want them to be realistic and fun all at the same time. I am trying to talk Mr. Man to doing it with me (just share one). But he is undecided on it. I told him it would be fun because I already have so many things on it that is for the family anyway, like vacations, camping, biking, etc. Things that I would want to do with him, and I know he would want to share it with me. However, I can't get him to agree and help me!!

So tomorrow.
We are going in to file our taxes finally. Last week, we didn't get to do it because Mr. Man couldn't get a hold to his W-2's. Now we have them, now we are ready. I'm pretty excited about that. After that, we are going to go somewhere to look for new couches for the house. We both are ready to upgrade. It's time to upgrade. We debated it for a long time because we felt like we were in too small of a house to get what we wanted, but we are so ready for new sofas. It looks like the house loses and we win because we are going to spend a couple of days shopping around until I find exactly what I am looking for (and I hope I do soon!).

Iron Man.
We went and watched Iron Man in theaters yesterday. It was just a really random and spontaneous idea since we normally wait until they come out on Blu-Ray, but for some reason we were begging for something to do. This is what Mr. Man spitted out. I am an Iron Man lover. Something about the role, something about the suit that gets me excited and all happy inside. I loved the first one, and I liked the second one. I can't exactly tell you why I think this because I don't even know. I just know that it was a decently good movie. Someone mentioned not wasting money to watch it in theaters, and I would have to say I agree. It's a good movie. It's worth watching, but it isn't work $15-$20. That's just my opinion on the money side of it. But like I said, the movie was good. I will definitely be getting it on Blu-Ray. Only for the character, haha! For some reason, I love Iron Man.

  1. I relate so much to this post! I really want to do the 101 in 1001, but I can't think of 101 specific neat goals. We just bought new living room furniture and it is supposed to be delivered today (they brought us the wrong furniture yesterday!) It is nice getting rid of the old hand me down furniture. Love your blog, It makes me smile!

  2. Hey girl! Thanks for joining the party yesterday! Sorry I'm just now getting to the rounds. It's been WAY to busy around here. How did you couch search go? Success? I love your 50 game btw. Look forward to reading about it! So, how far are you guys from Scotland? I've had a recent interest in going there. It's funny the random people we've run into who have been there lately. They all highly recommend it! Well, off to visit more partyers. Talk to you again soon!
