It's a Girl!!
While we were home, we did an ultrasound so our families could be involved in this pregnancy. I surprised both of our parents with an appointment for an ultrasound. We went to the ultrasound, and I was about 15 weeks pregnant. The lady who did the ultrasound said she was about 85% sure it was a girl, but she said with the way the baby was positioned we may want to double check later on. Since I knew I would have another scan for the anatomy, I was ok with that. We chose our name and announced it.
Here we are 6 weeks later, and the anatomy scan confirmed it is indeed a girl! She does already have a name, and it looks like she will now become Baby E! Would anyone like to do a name guessing game? I could give a $20 gift card to the winner. I would need to come up with hints or a rhyme to do this. Let me know!!
I'm not sure I ever told Baby A's name, so if I didn't then maybe I can do something for her's too!
I just wanted to make the official announcement. I will be doing posts on Baby A's big girl room inspiration and Baby E's nursey. As well as things of our new house and so on and so forth. I can't wait to get back into the swing of things!! :)

20 Weeks Pregnant and In Italy
As most of you have noticed from the markets post (which was suppose to be a private post - oops!), we made it to Italy. We got here on September 15 and have been going nonstop since. Searching for a house, getting to know the area, in-processing, situating Mr. Buttons and Baby A.... it's all been a busy time for us.
Before we came here, we went home on COT leave. We went from England to Louisiana to England to drive to Italy. Our trip home was absolutely amazing. I hope to get some pictures up soon. Baby A got to meet all of her family, finally. Mr. Buttons had to stay in the kennels in England because if we would have brought him back to the states, he would have had to do the 6 months quarantine all over again. We had agreed that we wanted to avoid that at all costs.
Once we made it back to England, we had to pick up Buttons and get his health certificate. We had to prepare the car for the drive to Italy. The drive was about 17 hours.. just under 1,000 miles. We did it in 3 days with Baby A and Buttons. Both of them were amazing during the trip. Even I survived.
During all of this, the power steering in my car went out. We had planned on buying a new car when we got to Italy but since it happened sooner than expected we ended up buying a car in England and driving it to Italy while my car got fixed. Mr. Man will be going back for my car. We bought a 2013 Audi A4, which is what we wanted.
Once we arrived in Italy, it has been the normal with any military move. In processing, briefings, getting to know the area, finding a housing solution, and ... all the other normal things that come with moving.
We still have not found a house, but are looking at 3 very good possibles. It completely fits our desires and looks like the kids will have their own rooms, I will have a craft room, the parents will have an office, and the kids will have a playroom. I am COMPLETELY stoked about that. Hopefully we will officially have a house by tomorrow to call our's. However, there is a long process here in Italy to actually moving in, so we could be in a hotel for another month or so. Hopefully it flies by or goes quicker than expected. We've been living out of suitcases and (6) hotels the last 2 months.
On the pregnancy, I am already 20 weeks. I seriously can not believe that. It's been going by so quickly. Sometimes I don't feel like I have time to enjoy it, but then others I'm anxious to meet our little monster. More on the pregnancy when I have time. Things are good, everything looks great. Just normal, everyday pregnancy fun!
Until next time...
And yes, I'm trying to get back on a routine of blogging because there is so much to write about!!

Updated Pictures of the Pouch:
This will be full of pictures from Week 35 to now, which is 38!
Week 35
Week 36
Week 37
Week 38
Isn't it pathetic that ALL of my pictures are of me in sweats or pajama pants and a tee-shirt. I majorly failed at doing some casual everyday shots.
Otherwise, we only have a couple of more weeks until we meet our little girl!

Labor and Delivery Class
Yesterday we had our Labor and Delivery class. Mr. Man and I went together. It was in the evening from 6pm and 8pm, which meant that Mr. Man had to take some time away from work to get it done. I went back and forth on whether or not we should take the class, but then I found out that they actually tour you around the hospital so the Dads know where to send the Moms when they go in to labor and where all the facilities are. In the end, we decided to go because Mr. Man informed me (by accident) that he did not know where Labor and Delivery was in the hospital.
I thought instead of explaining it to him or showing him one day while we were up there that he should see for himself. The lady that "taught" the class is an amazing doctor up at hospital. I have been very unfortunate that I have not been able to see her, but this class made me want her to delivery our baby. It won't be my choice, unless I have to be induced, but it was still a thought in my mind.
We began the class by watching a labor video. I seriously had no desire to see it, but I guess people should see one. This whole pregnancy I have had no desire to watch a birth. The closest I have come is to what the movies portray, and I am OK with that. Now, I have educated myself to the best of my ability, and I know that not everyone has the same experiences so I am ready in my own way.
At the beginning of the class, the Dads had to massage our hands. The goal was to find out how soft or rough we like to be massaged. Mr. Man is horrible at this. He is such a rough massager. We were giggling the whole time because he was tickling more than anything. Then she was explaining how to do certain types of massages and my husband would be like, "Like this?!" and squeeze or pinch the living daylights out of me. Good thing I have a great sense of humor, too.
Then we had to pull out our "to-go" bags and find one thing in it that we felt was extremely important or something we thought no one else would have. I did not bring my bag because I was the one that decided I was not going to make multiple trips to the car in order to bring in what I needed. Mr. Man and I were driving from 2 different directions, and he was going to be "right on time." I already had to carry up the food that I made, our pillows, drinks, and my purse. I couldn't imagine trying to carry in another 2 bags. Needless to say, I had my notebook that had my list in it, and I used that. There was a lot of interesting things that people decided to bring and showed. There were some that wanted to show off certain items that they had. Others were simple (like me). I did give Mr. Man the right away to tell them about my Wonder Woman undies, but he shyed away from it really fast. *Thank goodness!*
After that, we toured the Labor and Delivery section of the hospital. We discovered that the baby stays in the room even in a situation of an emergency, which I thought was interesting. We were able to view the rooms and see what was available to us. I was pointing things out to Mr. Man and he was surprised to see some of the things in there.
While we were in there, the lady wanted 3 Dad volunteers to demonstrate a labor. Of course, she turns to look for Mr. Man because he had been being such a jokster the whole time. She found me in the crowd of people, but couldn't find my partner. That was funny. But I pointed in his direction and she quickly said, "You! I want you to lie on this bed." Mr. Man was like, "Ummm. Ok!" She pulled another guy and told him to strap him up with the monitors and things. It was the funniest thing ever. I really wish I had my video camera. She left the room, then came back in and asked Mr. Man if he was comfortable. Of course, Mr. Man just stated that he guessed because he had no idea what he was about to do. She stood as his bottom and told him to open for the baby to come out. Mr. Man just gently opened his legs a little, and she said, "I'm not sure how big you think your baby is going to be but she will not fit through there." So Mr. Man threw his legs in the air wide open. *I am giggling as I type this!!* She made the other two guys hold Mr. Man's legs and he had to pretend to have contractions and push. I am telling you, this was beyond hilarious! She made him rotate into different birthing positions, too. She even pulled out the stirrups and sat up the bed. Like I said, I really wish I had a camera. Greatest memory thus far of our pregnancy!
That was basically the end of our tour. She showed the guys were to find things that we needed in the room and what chairs did what in the rooms because there was about 3 different kinds. She explained that they had a DVD/VCR in every room and on and on.
At the beginning of the class the woman asked how many of us where passed 36 weeks. It was only me and another woman, which happens to be Mr. Man and I's mutual friends. She said that almost always one person has to go be seen in Labor and Delivery or goes in to labor during the tour. I knew it wasn't going to be, but I do have to say I can see why. We walked everywhere we went and we had to go to multiple stories, and we climbed the stairs. Did not take the elevator! Many of the Moms were huffing and puffing and wanting to sit all the time. I was excited to get some exercise in because I am trying to stay as active as possible to help progress things along. By the end of the class, Mr. Man went back to work and I came home.
This morning when we woke up, Guess what news we received?! Our friends that were there with us had went into labor last night after they had gotten home and been home for a couple of hours and had their baby girl bright and early this morning! It was amazing to think about, but at the same time guess who's next?! Yikes! Anyway, they never could find out what they were having because the baby always had its legs crossed or closed during the ultrasounds. They had decided just to wait it out and let it be a mystery baby. They already had a boy and really wanted a girl as this was their last baby. They did have a little girl this morning. Her name is Ava Claire! Pretty amazing to think about.
The Labor and Delivery Class was fun and very educational. But now it's on to the real thing for us. When I had my appointment on Monday, the midwife told us that she thought I would go by 38 weeks. She said the baby was "very low and ready to go." She said I was all baby and could see me getting tired all the time and having lots of pain due to it. I guess the ticker has beyond on when I will actually deliver. People are placing bets on dates at Mr. Man's job. For me, I don't feel like it will be very soon. Although I do know I have been having contractions, but none that intensify or become closer together. We sha'll see what happens in the next few weeks.

Contractions: AHHHH!
I guess I actually have something exciting with this pregnancy to do an update, so I thought I would take advantage and do it.
When my pregnancy begin, it seemed that everything happened so fast. The changes in my body. However, I never experienced the typical pregnancy hormones. You know the ones that everyone just hates, but it seems to last forever. I never experienced those. So as each week went on, I felt like my weekly updates were boring so I kept the videos for ourselves (Mr. Man and I) and rarely updated on what was going on. Fixing up the nursery and traveling was much more exciting than what was going on with the pregnancy. I stopped doing updates on my blog because I did not want the pregnancy to take over the blog, but I also wanted everyone to know what was going on. Needless to say, there were some weeks were pregnancy posts did take over the blogs and others where I felt like I had absolutely nothing to blog about. This week is a different story and another week!
Today I reach my 35 week mark. I believe I mentioned somewhere in all my blogs that they moved my due date a couple of times. It was frustrating because it was hard to tell where I was at. I was measuring 2 weeks below, but other signs showed I was farther along. Of course, they went with my measurements. Now, I am 35 weeks (by measurements).
At 32 weeks, Baby A began to move down. Since I am a First Time Mom, I thought this was really soon. But in the end, I knew it was different for everyone. I had the very few aches and pains in my low back and sides. They lasted a couple of days until my body got use to it. It did not slow me down, but it was differently noticeable, especially in my "Pouch Pictures". At almost 34 weeks, I noticed she began to move down even lower. Mr. Buttons began to act weird. (See this post!) It slightly creeped me out because I still felt like it was early. Most everything I read and heard from people stated that their babies did not begin to move down until 34-35 weeks. She had already moved down twice by 34 weeks. Once again, I just told myself everyone is different.
Here I am 35 weeks and things are different. No longer is it just the Braxton Hicks. I can tell the difference. 35 weeks today, and Baby A has decided to take the plunge and move down even lower. Along with it came the true pains and exhaustion of baby carrying. This morning (Tuesday) I woke up and immediately had to use the bathroom.... TMI, but not just tinkle. I just blew it over because I had not felt much pain at this point. Not until I started walking around and doing stuff for the day. As the day went on, I have had contractions on and off. I keep telling myself maybe they are not contractions, but at the same time, what is it? Yes, I know sometimes when baby is low and moves it can be uncomfortable and even painful. But this is full blown tightness, pressure, and not always only when baby moves. Mr. Man said that every time I flinched from the pain in my lower stomach and tightness, he could see my stomach tighten up really hard. I have never looked down and noticed, but I took his word for it. I told him maybe it was me tensing up because some of them are really strong and painful, but they last only a few seconds. I thought as the day went on that they would ease up... Wrong! However, they are not regular. I'm not timing them or anything. I'm just sucking it up and moving on. Yes, I think about how I am only 35 weeks and maybe I should call the doctor, but I did not want to waste my time either. Chances are they would monitor me and send me home. I did not really want to waste my time. (But if they do get worse or more consistent then I would go in.)
As I sit here and think about all of this, I begin to realize that in less than a month we are no longer going to be "Mr. Man and Mrs. Ma'am", we are going to be "Mommy and Daddy". As excited as we are and so ready for this, it's still hard to imagine what it will be like to have a child, to have a daughter. We are beyond excited. Mr. Man is so ready for her to come out. He keeps asking me when it is safe to do something to get her to come out, and I just laugh at him and tell him a few more weeks. As much as I can't wait to meet her and have her here, I know I'm going to miss my "Pouch". I know I'm going to miss feeling her wiggle around. I know I'm going to miss having the "cute belly bump." I know I'm going to miss all this. So for now, I am trying really hard to take it all in and enjoy it. Plus, I know she is measuring small and we want her to come out big, healthy, and strong!
Can you believe that in 3-4 more weeks we are going to be parents?! Boy how time flies by!

Pouch Pictures: Week 29-34
It is amazing how fast time has been flying. I can not believe I am already 34 weeks. I do not feel as big as I look in these pictures. The pictures really put it all in perspective for me! Even at 34 weeks, I am still completely 100% content with her staying in as long as she wants! I can't wait to meet her, hold her, snuggle with her, and introduce her to her big brother!
This blog is strictly pictures. I would do an update, but there really is not much to update. I am still in the gym. Not many aches and pains. She did drop at 32 weeks, and that was the only time I had the pains. I do feel the contractions more often and stronger, but I am almost positive they are all Braxton Hicks. We even went to London on Monday to walk around China Town since Mr. Man had not been yet. All is well so far!

Mr. Buttons, My Guard Dog
Lately things have been so crazy. Crazy as in lots of things have been changing for me, and it is starting to creep me out. Like on Monday, when the doctor tells me he would be suprised if I made it until April. Then I go to the Arts and Crafts Center to mold and paint some ceramics, and when I walk in, the ladies there say, "Oh wow, I can see such a difference in your belly. She has definitely dropped some." A day or two later my husband decides to tell me "how much bigger" I am getting in such a short period of time. (Thank goodness I am proud of my Pouch!) I knew I was growing because now I have to sit with my legs spread because my stomach has moved that low. When I sit on the couch, it almost touches the couch between my legs. It's insane. I have to learn back when I use the toilet or else it would be so uncomfortable with my tummy as squished up. Anyways, a day later from that, Mr. Buttons starts acting really, really weird.
With all this going on, I keep asking my baby boy if he knows something I do not know. Because I would like to know why he is my little guard dog, like super guard dog. I use the restroom and he sits in between my legs looking out like he will attack anyone that tries to go in the bathroom without permission. (lol) He lays on the mat right by the bath tub while I soak to relieve some aches. He never has done this before. Generally, he would go no where near the tub because he thought he would be getting a bath. Instead he would lay by the sinks or outside the door. Not anymore. He's right up in my grill. While I work on school work, he sits by me with his little ears poked straight up like he is being super attentive and just stares at me. I really wish I knew what was going through his head and why he is acting like this. I am sure he senses the baby and all, but I always wonder if it is more. Whenever we are busy working around the house, he goes lays in Baby A's room. When we go to look for him, he is always laying in her room by her bed. It's so sweet. But he use to never leave our side. Now, Mr. Man will get up out of bed before me. Normally Mr. Buttons would go downstairs with him to go outside and such. Not anymore. He stays in bed with me until I finally work up enough energy to get out of bed. My little protector. When I sit on the couch to fold clothes or watch TV, he lays right on top of my belly. He uses it as pillow. But it's so cute (and funny looking) because Baby A likes to kick him. And her kicks are getting really strong, so whenever she kicks him, his poor little head jumps. He doesn't even care. It's almost like he enjoys it and finds it comforting. I really hope he turns out to be the perfect big brother that loves to play with her and snuggle with her just like he does with me and Mr. Man.
But still... all of these odd things happening and I can't help but wonder. Wonder about it all. The ladies in ceramics, the doctor, Mr. Buttons, me growing so fast, etc.
My puppy is special. Special as in owns my heart!
32 Week Appointment:
I had my 32 Week appointment on Monday, and it went great. I have only gained 22 pounds since pre-pregnancy, which I am extremely happy about. I'm sure I will pack it all on very soon, but I am happy with where I am now. Actually, I really want to have that feeling of eating and eating and eating and never getting full. But for some reason, I do not get that leisure. I eat too much, and I get sick. Boo for that! I guess it is a good thing after all.
So the appointment, it went well. Just the normal, except I had my first male doctor. Mr. Man was not able to make it so I got a lot of random questions. First he asked me if I was married. Then asked if I was active duty. Plus many more questions. It was weird, and I kind of started digging into it to figure it out but I decided that was not smart. It was funny, though. He felt the baby, measured the baby, and even played with the baby. He was very professional and very calming. It made me so much more comfortable. I really thought I was going to have a hard time with it, but now I see why I had male OB-GYN's in the states and pre-military. Now, I know that no matter if I get a male or female on Birth Day I will be completely comfortable and happy. I'm just glad I was able to figure that out before.
Everything is official now. More official than ever. Everything is booked. Paperwork is being started, about to be submitted. Tours are confirmed. Birth plan in place, which is not much of one. Not only that, but the doctor decides to tell me, "I do not want to scare or worry you, but she is already really low. I doubt you make it to April." I just looked at him and said, "I guess we sha'll see what happens." He said, "Wow, even as low as she is, she still takes up your WHOLE body." Yes Doctor, I have noticed this myself. Her feet are still in my ribs and her head is in my hips. To be fair, I have not been gaining a pound every week like they said I should be. I eat a lot, and I have not changed my diet. But I have gained 2 (maybe 3) pounds in the last 6 or so weeks. It shows differently with my belly shots (as I put my weight) because I weigh myself differently every time. For example, I will weigh at night some times, morning others, and midday for others all wearing different amounts of clothes. With the doctor's office, they weigh me the same time every time dressed the same way. That's the one I go by mostly. Of course the baby is growing, I am just not. I wish I would, I really do. Anyway, I have been feeling her move lower and lower this last week. I can feel my hips spreading (even though clothes don't fit differently yet) and adjusting. When she hiccups, it's in my bottom (which is funny). For Mr. Man to feel them, he has to put his hand on my bum or my lower back. Awesome, huh?! That summarizes my appointment for the most part.
Of course, I tell Mr. Man all about this and he goes straight in to nesting mode. He had a ceremony to go to tonight for one of his troops, so he did not have to go to work until after the ceremony, which means we spent the whole day together. He loaded both car seats into each car. American car seat in my car. British car seat in his car. He also put the stroller frame in the trunk of my chair and asked me nicely to put together our hospital bags, which I was not going to do until 36 weeks. Good thing we went shopping for some things this weekend that we will need since he is leaving next week for a couple of weeks and after that we will be busy with classes, pictures, tours, etc. He even put up her pack and play in our room, brought now her mini bed to the living, and brought out some of her toys to reachable area. We even finished up her nursery for the most part. We just want to add a couple of more things. It's so cute to see him trying so hard, being so involved. I am also finishing up the washing and such. And to be honest, I AM NOT nesting. At least I do not feel I am. It's more of "I know this will be coming in and need to be washed, and this will be taking place and I don't want to get overloaded so I will go ahead and work on things as I get them." What am I going to do when I do start nesting? Right now, I'm just planning. This is how I am about EVERYTHING. Mr. Man calls me a psycho control freak. I admit I am a control freak, at least can be. He does not think I will ever nest like a "true nester." He says because I have basically been "nesting" the whole pregnancy. Thanks to being a control freak ;) I can say I agree with that, for sure.
I just find it ridiculously funny that we will be driving around with empty car seats and my Buddha belly for potentially another 8 weeks. Nice, huh?!
Sorry this post got so long. I guess I got carried away with updating. Next week, I will show some updated pouch pictures and nursery pictures.

Things I Could Not Live Without This Pregnancy (So Far):
Since I have now hit my third trimester and time is flying by so fast, I thought it would be nice to document the things I just could not live without throughout the first two trimesters of this pregnancy. I am now in my third trimester and have been for a couple of weeks, so I will not include any new things that have been added to my "pregnancy must-haves." I will explain what I used each of them for and why I loved them so much.
The List:
1. My husband- Obviously, I could not have done this without him. He has been amazing through it all. I do have to add him in this list since he was the one that used this stuff (on me) just as much as I did. He has cooked me numerous meals when I have been so exhausted and starving. He makes sure I take my pills, and he always makes sure I am eating right and enough, as well as drinking plenty of water. He's pretty much awesome!
2. Bath time- This is another odd one. In the beginning of my pregnancy, I could not get enough warm baths. I absolutely loved them, and they were so relaxing. I never took them for aches and pains. I simply loved the water. It was something about laying in the water, letting my body float to the surface, and being as still as possible to not set off the automatic light that made this time a memorable and nice time. I also read my books during this time. It was nice and peaceful. Then, as I grew, showers became just as great. I just loved to be in the water. And most of the time that I felt the baby move the most was when I was in water. As I got bigger and bigger, showers were my only option since I could not pull myself up from the bath even with the handles. Mr. Man would (and still) have to come up when I was ready to get out and help me out. (Another reason why he has been absolutely amazing!)
3. One size too big boy cute undies- This was one of the very first things that I went to in the pregnancy. During the day when I was out and about, I wore my normal panties. But at night, I felt the need for granny panties. I know this kind of starts to get TMI, but it was for numerous reasons. Whenever you get a size to big, they not only grow with you, you can wear them around the house without having to put on another pair of shorts or pants. I stayed hot in the house a lot, so it was so comfy for me without having everything hanging out. At night, it was convenient because when I would grow and have leukorrhea, it made it more comfortable.
4. Hard Candies and Light Snacks- I am just going to combine these two because they basically were used for the same purpose. In the beginning, I would always get hungry while I was out and about. No matter if I ate right before I left and had only been gone for an hour. I was always needing a snack. I used the hard candies to tie me over until I could get home if I was heading home right away. I switched out the type of candies in order to not get tired of them and get sick of them, and I only would use 1 or 2 at a time. Never ever overindulged on these. I used the light snacks, which consisted of mixed nuts, crackers, trail mix, pretzels, etc. for when I knew I would not be gone long but long enough to need something. I also used them for when I would get car sick, which I did on long trips. I also used them as emergency food when we were far from a food source.
5. Lotion- I use 3 different kinds of lotions, and they all serve their own purpose. It also depends on my mood.
Coco Butter- I used two different types of Coco Butter. I used the original, more thick version and the creamy one. I used the thick one for night time because I did not have to wait for it to dry before I put on my clothes. I could go straight to bed without feeling wet. I used the creamy version for during the day. I always would put it on and leave my shirt propped over my belly. It was more soothing because of it being creamy. It was also colder, so that added to the relaxing feeling of it on me.
Jergens Ultra Healing- I used the Jergens whenever I had really dry skin. When I started looking scaly on my back and stomach, this is when this one came in handy. I absolutely loved it. It was soothing and definitely did it's job.
Avon Shea Itchy Lotion- Ok, really I don't know the name of it, but I know it's from Avon and it has Shea in it. I also know it is for dry, itchy hands. I had a bottle of this because it is generally what I carry in my purse. It was used mostly for my stomach. It is travel-sized, so I could throw it in my purse or gym bag and apply it any time my back or stomach got itchy. I also used it several times at night because showers dried me out even more. Since I take showers at night before bed, this came in handy.
6. Coco Butter Body Oil- I used the Coco Butter Body Oil in the bath tub and shower. In the beginning, when I was taking lots of baths, I would put a couple of drops of this into my water when my body was dried out. I did not do this everyday because then it would have made my whole body oily. I definitely did not want that. As I started to take showers, I would just squirt a couple of drops on my stomach and rub it in, then rinse a bit off. I hate feeling icky and oily, so I always rinsed under the water. But it never took away the moisturizing affect.
7. Sugar Whipped Scrub- I used this for my chest. I had a itchy patch on one side of my side, and it would get really bad whenever my boobs would grow or get fuller. It would dry out this one little patch, and the patch would get super itchy. This happened throughout my first two trimesters fairly regularly. It happened about every 2 weeks and would last for 2 or 3 days. The sugar whipped scrub helped to exfoliate and moisturize the skin. It is an all natural scrub, too!
8. Benadryl Cream- Whenever the sugar whipped scrub did not work, I would apply a very small amount of this cream to my chest. Just enough to cover the area that was bothered with a thin layer. I used this about 5 times, but it was still a lifesaver. Whenever I would go to bed, sometimes the sugar whipped scrub with lotion was enough. But then I would wake up in the middle of the night scratching it, so that is when I realized I need to do something about it. If not, I would have scratched it until it bled. (Yes, that happens!) Thankfully, the benadryl cream saved me from it getting worse or me aggravating it.
9. Doppler- We loved the doppler. This was for sure one of our favorite things to do during this pregnancy - listen to the baby every night. We really enjoyed it, and it always brought a big smile to our faces. With this, we used KY Jelly and Baby Oil to help guide it on my stomach. The doppler in itself explains just how important it is!
10. Books- I have read so much since being pregnant. All about being pregnant, what to expect from pregnancy, birth, and the first year, and breastfeeding.
What to Expect When You are Expecting- Of course, I love this book. I also had a week by week guide, but I prefered the What to Expect book. It was done by weeks and months, so I could sit down right before those weeks (or that month) started and read about what to expect and how to treat it or what to worry about or how I should approach things or what I should be thinking about for that month. It also showed pictures of the progression. I loved it.
The Motherly Art of Breastfeeding- I read this book because I am dead set on breastfeeding. I am definitely being open-minded about what can happen, but overall I really want it to work out. I read this book because many people had recommended it to me, and said that it gave a subtle yet realistic approach to breastfeeding. That was very true. It explains everything. It explains the reasons behind problems, how to fix them, why you may have problems, etc. It gives great advice of who to talk to, how to help your husband understand and cope, and many other things. It also provides the changes as the baby gets older, up to a year old.
Like I said before I read a lot of books. I will not list them all because some of them were small or I found something else to be better. But I read a week by week guide, which was neat to see what would happen that week. I read a book about why I should nurse, which was very helpful. I read books on baby products, necessities, and other things. I read a book on birthing. Another on postpartum. I felt all of them had their place for me. I was able to take something away from all of them.
11. Calendar and Journal- I used both of these to document the milestones. I am still using them obviously. The book allows for aversions and cravings along with weekly pictures. It has a section for you to document your appointments and things you were doing during that week. The calendar I used for appointments and measurements, along with milestones. I would recommend doing both. They each serve their own purpose!
12. Proactiv- This is the big one. Once I hit my second trimester, I began breaking out really bad. I tried to change my foundation and other makeup supplies. I tried changing my cleaner. I tried cleaning my face more often, then not so often. I tried cleaning my makeup brushes more often. I tried it all. I really did not want to have to resort to Proactiv, but it finally came down to that. And I am so glad I did! It is amazing. I just hope that it is not too harsh after the birth and I go back to normal (if I go back to normal). It has stopped my breakouts, and now it is removing the scarring from it. Definitely a good product for me right now.
So these are the things that I could not live without. Most of them, I would have never thought I would have needed or been interested in. Others, I sort of planned to use them or have them. Later on, I will do a list of things that people swore by that I did not find helpful. A lot of which has to do with my size, but nonetheless was pointless for me.
So far, this is where I am. I am currently 28 Weeks pregnant, and time is flying by way too fast!
I hope everyone has a great Monday and a fantastic week!
The List:
1. My husband- Obviously, I could not have done this without him. He has been amazing through it all. I do have to add him in this list since he was the one that used this stuff (on me) just as much as I did. He has cooked me numerous meals when I have been so exhausted and starving.

Catching Up: Anatomy Scan
I am going to catch you all up on what has been going on in our lives. Of course, nothing that much has changed and nothing exciting, but after all the point of this is to document our lives and our journey through life.
I will start off with our 2nd ultrasound that we had done right before we left for Ireland. We did it the Monday before Thanksgiving. On that day, we were also going to be able to decide if we wanted to find out what we are having. When we went in, Mr. Man came with me (of course), and the scan begin. It took over an hour, and it was very interesting. However, when it came time to decide if we wanted to know, we of course said we did. The lady tried multiple times to view those "parts," but never once did the baby uncross his/her legs or open them enough for us to see. We were ok with that UNTIL the lady decided to say, "I'm going to guess that it is a girl." Mr. Man and I was really curious as to why she made that guess, so it had us wondering.
I had my follow-up appointment the Wednesday before we headed out. Everything looked great for the anatomy scan, so it was quick measurement, check heart rate, and get a letter to fly to Ireland. When we walked in, the lady went to check my blood pressure and as I was getting up to get on the table, she said, "Let me guess. You found out you are having a boy." Mr. Man and I both laughed and told the lady that we were unable to tell and the other lady guessed a girl. It was quite funny. We went on about our business. The baby and everything looked great, and the next day we headed to Ireland.
On our trip, we talked about whether or not we wanted to find out what we were having. Because being military, you only get 2 ultrasounds. One to confirm the pregnancy, and two for the anatomy scan. Since we had already had both of those done, the only way to have any more was for us to go off base and pay out of pocket. Initially that was never a consideration, but we also never dreamed that we would have a little stubborn baby (takes after his/her Daddy!). When we got back from our trip, I made a few phone calls to see when the earliest someone off base could even see us to decide if it would be worth it or not. On Monday, we confirmed that we were indeed going to find out what we were having. We scheduled the appointment for a couple of days later, and the rest will be continued!
Until next time....

Crib/Dresser-Halloween:
Over the weekend, we received our crib and dresser. At first, I was so worried that I was going to end up not liking it or it not matching the way I thought it would. But it worked out perfectly. I absolutely love it. I am so happy because it is exactly what I wanted. I originally really, really wanted a drop-side crib because I am so short, but as everyone knows they have been being recalled like crazy. They are also going out of style and so hard to find these days. We finally found one that we liked, but I was still scared about it. We put it in the room on Sunday, and it is perfect. It is so easy to work, has a drop-side, and matches everything already in there perfectly. I could not be happier.
Here is a picture of the set.
Since I never got around to telling everyone Happy Halloween, here it is!
These are from Week 17, the week of Halloween.

Pictures of Our Pouch:
So before I go all confusing everyone, the last pregnancy belly photos were still when I had a due date of March 23. When I went for my second appointment, they changed my due date to April 5, which put me back 2 weeks. So that is how I am going to list these, but do not get all confused like I did when I went through my last set of pregnancy photos! :)
Week 12
Week 13
Week 14
Week 15- At the top of Snowdon
Week 16
These are the next 5 from where I left off the last time. I know I said I would do 4 at a time for comparison, but I had to post the 5th ones because it was when I officially got my bump. I wanted you all to be able to see the difference. At 16.5 weeks I ended up having to take my belly ring out because it began stretching. This week I also had my first set of people rubbing on my belly, which I found extremely odd. I hope you enjoy the pictures, and the next set will be pretty adorable, too!

Fun Game:
First off, I want to welcome my new readers. I have gotten so many emails and comments on new followers. Not all of you have a reply back email address listed, so I can not personally say 'hi! When you get a chance fill in your email address on your account, so when you leave comments, I can email you back!
I have not really updated you all on the last doctor's appointment. It was on Tuesday, October 19, 2010. All the doctor did was check the baby's heart rate, my weight, and ask lots of questions. Like always! Baby C is doing great, and everything is going good. I got an estimated week that we will have the gender ultrasound done, so I thought it would be fun to play a little game. We have 5 to 6 weeks until the gender ultrasound is done, so I wanted to start this now.
I am sure most of you have heard of the game. It is the "Baby Pool." I will provide a link for the website and our game. For those of you that enter before our gender ultrasound and get the gender correct will have the opportunity to enter a special giveaway for only you. No outsiders will be allowed to enter. This is to make sure that no one tries to add in after the ultrasound. Unfortunately, it is not guaranteed that everyone will win, but since there is a 50/50 chance that everyone will get it right, I can not afford to give all the winners a gift (although I would love to!). So for the first game, be sure to go in and guess the gender. I will try and post this once a week for everyone to have the opportunity to make a guess. After you go and guess, (which you will also be able to guess the arrival date, weight, heighth, etc) be sure to leave a comment stating that you entered before my gender ultrasound. I will also try my best to keep track of it before the gender ultrasound to make sure there are no cheaters!
Later on, after the ultrasound, you will be able to edit the other parts of the pool. You will be able to edit your pick throughout the pregnancy. When the pregnancy gets close to the end, I will host another giveaway for the winner that guesses the closest with the lenghth, weight, arrival date, sex, etc.
I am sure a lot of you are going to ask me questions like 'how am I carrying', 'what do I think it is', 'what is the baby's heart rate', etc. etc. So I will try and fill you in the best I can at this point. Be on the look out for belly pictures, so you can decide if I am carrying high or low.
The heart rate was at a 157 at the last appointment. It seems everyone keeps calling him/her a 'him'. My gut tells me it is a girl; however, in the beginning of the pregnancy, I had 2 or 3 dreams about finding out and it was a boy. I have no cravings (yet). I have gained 7 lbs up to now. I am 17 weeks pregnant. Be sure to check updated belly pictures for how you think I am carrying. If you have anymore questions that you would like answered before you put in your vote, post them and I will try and update information as time goes on.

I know there have been a lot of questions regarding the pregnancy, registries, and other baby related topics, so I will get back to you all with that information as soon as I can.

Questions: (About the pregnancy)
So, I mentioned in a past blog post that I have been receiving a lot of questions. Some are the same one from a variety of people, so I thought as I get frequent questions I would do a post on it. I had many people say that they would like to see videos but it was not a must, so I will do some updates via video when I have the time.
For now I am going to answer two questions that I have been getting a lot of.
1. Will I set up a PO Box for people to send our family gifts?
The answer is (sadly) no. It is not because I do not want to. It is because I can not. Since I live overseas, I am only allowed one PO Box number, which is my state-side mailing address. I have thought about giving this out since it is not a physical address, but to be honest, it freaks me out. I do not use our real names in these posts. I keep my Twitter, Blog, and Facebook all separate. All because of paranoia. If we were in the states, it would be a different story, but we are not. However, I am very, very, very thankful that so many people would be so considerate to think of such a thing. It really means a lot to our family! I wish I could personally hug and thank each and everyone of you because I was shocked whenever I read that so many people wanted to send us things. You guys are amazing! So thank you, and I am so very sad that I can not set up something for you.
2. Do we have themes, baby names, and other odds and ends picked out?
I mentioned this in another blog post. We do have names picked out for either a boy or girl. We also have themes, colors, and a registry. As most of you know, I did not want to find out the sex so when I found out we were finally pregnant, we began planning for both in hopes that Mr. Man would change his mind about finding out the sex. It did not work, but we did get a lot accomplished. Now, we are just sitting and waiting until the time comes. Names - We do not plan to share with anyone for a while. Also, I will not share on my blog since I do not use our real names. However, I am sure the baby will some way, some how get some nickname. That is name I will go with on here... if it happens. Colors and themes - I really have no problem telling you, but I have family that reads this so for now it will be a secret until we find out the sex. The registries are officially finished, and I have already started giving the information out to my close friends here that are about to PCS and anyone else who has asked for it.
Just because we have all this picked out does not mean we are completely done thinking about it all. So if you have any suggestions on anything, please feel free to share!
I want to do a fun post about baby names in the future. Just to see names that people hate, love, or just would not use or really want to use but the significant other does not. So be thinking about those because I love reading other people's thoughts and such on baby names.
For now, I am going to eat me some yummy taco soup that I made for dinner!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

The Sweetest Thing:
Remember how I told you Mr. Man tries to listen to the baby with his stethoscope? It did not work because I was not far enough along, so I bought him a doppler device.
We got it in yesterday. I waited patiently for him to get off of work for us to try it out. I am normally in bed by the time he gets home, but this time I made sure I was awake. I was still in bed, but awake. I brought the doppler upstairs with me, so when he got ready for bed it was right there. He did what he needed to do and crawled in bed, and we listened to our baby's heart beat away. It was the sweetest little thing ever. And I mean this!
Mr. Man was so tired from work that he just laid in the bed with the headphones on, and I held the doppler on my belly where the baby was. He was not sleeping, but he was relaxing with his eyes closed and all. Every time the baby would move Mr. Man would say, "He's trying to run away again." So I would move the doppler because the baby just kept going in a circle. Mr. Man would say, "There he is." And just lay back and relax again. It was so darn adorable.
Of course, I got a turn. I tried to count the heart beats per minute, and I think I got around 146. I only did it once, but I plan on doing it again the next time we use the doppler (which I'm sure will be in a few minutes or tonight) just to see if that was a close estimate. It was awesome to hear, and it's nice to be able to do it when you want and in the comfort of your own home.
Of course, Mr. Buttons got his chance, too. He just perked up his ears, then laid on his stomach all attentive. He was moving his head side to side, like dogs do when you talk to them and move your head. It was so funny and so adorable. But he does not like to talk on the phone or have anything with noise on his ears, so it did not last long. Long enough, though.
Seriously, I have to say that this first time doing it is one of the best memories I will have with this baby. I think Mr. Man, too. Since the first doctor's appointment was more shocking than relaxing and enjoying even though it was pretty awesome, too.
I just wanted to share this memory with you all!
Happy Thursday! Happy Pay Day!

Hello Bathroom! Goodbye Food.
It's official. I am saying Hi to the bathroom every 2 hours. Not due to morning sickness - thank goodness! But because the frequent urination has hit a high!
This is the third night in a row where I have slept for 3 to 4 hours, and I up 2 times during that time to use the bathroom. By the second time, I am hungry and wide awake. Maybe my body is preparing me for newborn feedings? Ok, joke. But seriously, it's kind of annoying. Although I would not trade it for the world.
I am wide awake for about 3 or so hours, which I use the bathroom nonstop, then I am back to bed for a few more hours. Then I am up for a few hours again, then back for a nap for a few hours. Not liking it at all as it messes with my day, but I am thankful I am not moody. At least not yet.
I am having major aversions to food. I never want to eat. EVER! I get so hungry, yet I hate to eat. I use to love my food. What happened? I miss it.
I also am now officially unable to sleep on my back and stomach. My stomach is so sore, and I feel like it is growing so fast. So fast that when Mr. Man saw me with my shirt off over the weekend he reacted in this way, "Holy crap, Mrs. Ma'am. Your belly is huge!" My reaction - some laughs here and there and a "Gee thanks." We both laughed about it, but I did warn him that I may not take that so lightly the next go around, so he better be prepared. Ha! Back to sleeping, Iam was a stomach sleeper. Now that it hurts to sleep on my stomach, I have tried my back. Fail. My stomach sinks in and with it sore, it hurts. I am successfully sleeping on my side, but I really, really, really need an awesome body pillow. I can no longer use Mr. Man because he makes me hot, like sweaty hot. It's horrible. I will be investing in a pregnancy pillow sooner than I thought.
I realized that I told you guys that I would have my next set of pictures up today, but I thought today was Wednesday. Well, it is Wednesday now, but I thought yesterday was Wednesday. My new weeks start on Wednesday, so I will take a picture today and have them posted as soon as possible!

Survival:
Today, I started back at the gym throwing around a few weights. I forgot how much I miss the gym. I knew I missed the gym, but when I actually grabbed the weights, I was like "Ahhh, this feels so good." I did not want to stop.
Which means, I survived my first full day of the gym. I walked to the gym to get some light cardio in since I get so tired so easily. It would force me to walk back even being tired from working out. I did chest, a little legs, and a back exercise. I plan to do a little legs and back every other day to help keep them tone and my hip size down. I want my back to be strong because I know it will not be long, and it will start bothering me. Strengthening exercises is what I am doing for now, and it felt so good. I have to say my legs are dying right now, and I only did 3 weiny leg workouts! But at least I know I worked myself.
And I hate the "Are you fat or are you pregnant stare." It really gets on my nerves. But it is also quite humorous, too. I actually feel really confident being pregnant and in the gym. Even though I am at the stage of am I fat or am I pregnant, I know what I am and people that have seen me workout know. It's amazing the eyes you get, though. And I can now see why larger people or early pregnant people get discouraged by it.
Exciting news!! I felt the baby over the weekend. It was a full blown baby, too. It definitely was not like maybe it's baby, but I am not 100% sure. It was sooooo baby! And it felt awesome. It freaked me out, and I jumped at the first "kick." Then another followed not far after that one, and Mr. Man tried so hard to feel it. He wants to so bad, but I have feeling he has a few more weeks to wait until that happens. It was awesome!
We are also getting baby stuff in like crazy! I seriously appreciate everything that people are sending us. I got a pregnancy journal, stethoscope (specifically for Mr. Man), Pinocchio (Because people know I collect Disney movies), and the cutest little shirt like bib that says "I (heart) Take-Out" with an adorable Chinese take-out box and chop sticks. I received it all in the mail yesterday. I will try and get some footage of our gifts since we most likely will not be doing a shower that way people can see what others are sending us and how we adore and appreciate the things they are sending. My Mom told me she sent a couple of more boxes, too. So yay, for more baby stuff! It's amazing how babies change the world. I am so excited!
Also, in baby news, we started cleaning out the nursery. Eeeekkkk!!! We are way beyond excited. I am seriously nesting. I have to be. Not sure what else it could be. Poor Mr. Man worked 12s all last week, and he had to work on Sunday, but I still put him to work on Saturday. It was an awesome day/night because we started putting up things we have been receiving. We also cleaned out the upstairs bathroom to make room so the baby could have his or her own little shelf of stuff. So now, we have little baskets in there that will be for his or her small toiletries and then we have already gotten some Johnsons&Johnsons Head to Toe wash and the Night Time Body Lotion, also gifts to us. YAY for all of that!!
I think we have officially decided on a crib and changing table set. We have also decided on bedding for either a boy or girl. And....... EXCITEMENT PEOPLE!!!-- We have picked our baby names (for now anyway)! Another "Eeeekkkk" could probably go here. Especially since we never could agree before on names. My registries are officially finished! And I think that is it for the beginning stage of preparing for a child. Amazing, the feeling of shopping for your first child. Seriously, I am beyond excited. And Mr. Man keeps asking when we are going to start buying things. I think he's a little anxious, too!
Question: Is there an awesome breastfeeding book you would recommend? I am looking to purchase one, and I have a few in mind, but I would like other's opinions if you have it. Thanks!
So, that's that on our Journey to Baby C!
Tomorrow I will hit my new week mark, so I will hopefully post up 4 pictures that you guys have not seen yet!

Clothing Diapering: Part 2
First, I want to thank you all for the information with the cloth diapers. I keep going back and forth and straddling the fence, which I am known for. As of right now, I'm thinking I will buy a few and try them out while we are home and around the house. If I decide I like them, I'll stick with them. If it becomes a pain, then I will ditch them. I really am wanting to find a way to make it work, but really there is so much to it. I will share a couple of videos with you guys to see what I saw, and then I would love MORE feedback!
So what do you think now?
When I watched these two videos, Mr. Man and I immediately said there is no way we could do that because he is gone a lot, he works a lot, and I spend just as much time on school as he does at work. For those of you who have used cloth diapering or if you know someone that does, send them my way. I want to drill them!! Because I obviously, would love for this to work.
Here are the videos:

First Ultrasound:
So today has come and gone. It has been such a great relief to hear and see our baby. But now I am already bummed that I will not get to see him or her for another 10 or 12 weeks. It's so disappointing to know, but was such a relief to get today over with. Sadly, the baby measured 10 weeks and 1 day instead of 12 weeks, so I am not in my 2nd Trimester yet. The worries are not as high though, not for now anyway.
We listened and watched the baby for a long time. It felt like 30 minutes, but it was probably more like 15-20 minutes. I am glad it by so slow and we could soak up the moment. Surprisingly, I did not cry. I'm not really emotional when it comes to stuff like this, but I really thought I would because I had been worrying throughout these few weeks. Which I have a feeling will be a part of me for the rest of my life. We got a couple of pictures of the baby; however, he or she was bouncing around so much, so quick that it was hard to get a good shot. We have one of him or her waving, and one of the front side. Baby C looks like he or she has a mohawk. It's quite cute if you ask me! I could see his or her legs, arms, tummy, face, everything. It was amazing. The little flash on the screen as he or she bounced around was just too adorable. Mr. Man has been saying that heor she is doing the "Clement Dance" with his or her hands in the air "crying WEEEEE WEEEEE WEEEEE alllll the way home!" Oh gosh, just thinking about it makes me laugh out loud. He is so excited, so happy. And now that they pushed me back a couple of weeks, I can possibly have an April baby, which was exactly what I was hoping for! All-in-all, this household is excited!
There really was not much discussed other than if we will breastfeed or bottle feed and if we wanted to different screenings for the abnormalities. We voted no for the screenings, but I would never abort and I would not want to worry about it all through my pregnancy. Not to mention that have way more false positives than any other test. We have no reason to suspect anything, so it is a "no-go" for us. I did mention that I plan to prepare for both, bottle and breast feeding. Obviously, I will try to breast feed and hopefully it works out, but I would like to be prepared if it does not. We discussed diet, working out, etc. My doctor actually told me to get back to lifting and doing cardio, but just lay back on the tense straining. It makes sense to me, so I will soon be hitting the weights again. I am very happy to have to green light for that. We discussed my heart murmur, which they ordered a test for to do that. I will go in soon and have that monitored. And we discussed eating lots of protein and calcium, which is hard for me. I hate meat right now, especially beef and I am "border-lined lactose intolerant." I say "border-lined lactose intolerant" because I have not been diagnosed with it, but I totally lose control of myself when I eat or drink too much diary. (Not that you care to know that!)
Now, the next big decision we have to make is whether or not we want to try and find out the sex. I, personally, want it to be a surprise. I have always said that, and I still feel that I want that. However, Mr. Man is so impatient about finding out so "he can prepare." He's so funny and so protective that it makes me giggle. I would not have it any other way, though. So, I am secretly hoping that when we go to find out, they can not see. If they can not determine the sex of the baby, then they will not try again. I am 100% ok with that, but poor Mr. Man would want to hurt me if he ever heard me say that. (Read into the sarcasm there!) So do you have any thoughts or suggestions about finding out what we are having? Do you have any stories about your experiences? I would love to hear them!
I have already started a registry, two of them actually. I have an awesome Mom and an awesome Nanny that has been supporting me through this, and they are lending their advice and recommendations on products and such. I am happy I have that because being so far away, I need it! My Nanny is basically going to do my registry for me, but I am giving her the list of things I want. I will not be sharing those details though for a while because it's too early and we may find out the sex, too. But I do have the big stuff already picked out. YAY for that!
I think that is pretty much it. I will share a few pictures from before. Only the ones I have shared on Facebook because I need to update the family first. Family comes first ALWAYS! Hope you understand. And enjoy the "fat pictures"! :o)

Pre-Pregnancy- May 2010
The day we found out. 6 weeks.
7 weeks.
8 weeks.
I do have 9 and 10 weeks, but I need to share those with family first, then I will do another update with them. Maybe I can post pictures like these every 4 weeks. Sound like a plan? Then there will be 4 belly pictures to come to each other!
