First time E had solids:

Here is a video of the first time we gave E solids. She was 6 months old. We gave her blackberries. She is now 7 months old and eats like a champ. In fact, she almost always refuses purees and wants something she can chew. She only has 2 teeth (on the bottom). But she eats very well and is not picky!
