A New Game for Me:

So, I wanted to start this up while Mr. Man was still away. I thought I would do it as my 50th blog post because at that post, I hit 50 followers. Well, things got hectic, and I never had the opportunity to post it and start it. Now I can, and now I will!

This little game is about 50 adjectives that describe me and my life. I chose 50 because at 50 posts on my blog, I hit 50 followers. 50 was the lucky number at that point. I'm almost positive there is more than 50 adjectives that can describe me, but I will chose 50 for now and see how it goes.

Basically, what I am going to do is tell you the 50 adjectives that I plan on blogging about. These 50 adjectives will be listed in this post. I will write about one or two per week until I have used all 50 of them. This is mostly for myself, and to find how I view life, more positively or negatively; more serious or humorous; etc. This will also be a great way for you to get to know me.

I will also add in the antonym of each adjective (if it is appropriate and fits my lifestyle at any point). For example, if I talking about love.. I will talk about hate. Whether it is things I love, things I hate. Another example is if I discuss being focused, I will most likely discuss my not so focused moments... which I am an ADD child!

For me, this will be fun to go back and read to see how how I have grown and see how I view things. For you, hopefully this will allow you to get to know me better and add some spark into my blogging! (Because we all know I need it!)

When I travel, I will probably not have the opportunity to do this, so please bare with me. You all will know when I am traveling, so just keep that in mind.

Let the game begin!

The 50 adjectives I have chosen are (in no specific order):
1. Loving
2. Loyal

Kindred Connection:

Windy Poplars

If you do not know what this is, click the lpicture and read all about it. This is probably my most favorite blog party yet!

The questions this week are:
1. What is the most recent vacation you've been on?
The most recent vacation that I have been on is when I went to the Scotland border with Mr. Man and our boy. I know that is pretty sad, but it is true. Ask me this again in 9 days, and this answer won't be true anymore! Yippeeeee!

2. What is the destination of the vacation of your dreams?
Recently, I have came quite fond of Egypt. It is a destination that I just recently added to my travel list.
3. Do you have a favorite place you vacation to regularly?
The beach. I miss the beach. The beach was not really a vacation spot, though, because I lived 30 minutes from it. Another spot my family and I use to go to was waterparks, like Water World, Blue Bayou, and Slitterbahn (?sp). I really miss being able to do those things.
4. Vacation preference: beach, city, or mountains?
Here, it is mountains. Sometimes I get a craving for the city, like when I want to be energized and see specific things. I love the beach and always will, but since I lived on the beach, I will take the change for now.
5. Have you ever vacationed with a group of people (other than your family)? If so: How did you coordinate it, and would you do it again?
Let's see.. I have not vacationed with anyone other than family since I have been married. And before I was married, I was in high school... so I guess this answer is no. Boring..

Now, a little about today.
Today Mr. Man had to go in to work for the day because someone's wife is having medical issues. Technically he is suppose to be off (and will be off until next Tuesday), but Mr. Man offered himself to replace this guy so he could be with his wife. Understandable. I have no complaints whatsoever about that..
but today has been so weird for me. I am use to going all day with Mr. Man that I feel lost. I can't just so sit by him on the couch and snuggle up with him and the boy. I feel tired. I am probably tired because we go nonstop during the day and now my body is finally relaxed and is screaming at me to chill out. But I won't since it is just a one day thing, so I took advantage of the day and ran some errands that I have to do alone and did as much school work as possible so we could spend these next few days together.

I have decided to do the 101 things to do in 1001 days. I decided this a couple of months ago while Mr. Man was still gone. I started the list to see what I would want to accomplish, but it was hard to find 101 things. It's taking some time, but I want them to be realistic and fun all at the same time. I am trying to talk Mr. Man to doing it with me (just share one). But he is undecided on it. I told him it would be fun because I already have so many things on it that is for the family anyway, like vacations, camping, biking, etc. Things that I would want to do with him, and I know he would want to share it with me. However, I can't get him to agree and help me!!

So tomorrow.
We are going in to file our taxes finally. Last week, we didn't get to do it because Mr. Man couldn't get a hold to his W-2's. Now we have them, now we are ready. I'm pretty excited about that. After that, we are going to go somewhere to look for new couches for the house. We both are ready to upgrade. It's time to upgrade. We debated it for a long time because we felt like we were in too small of a house to get what we wanted, but we are so ready for new sofas. It looks like the house loses and we win because we are going to spend a couple of days shopping around until I find exactly what I am looking for (and I hope I do soon!).

Iron Man.
We went and watched Iron Man in theaters yesterday. It was just a really random and spontaneous idea since we normally wait until they come out on Blu-Ray, but for some reason we were begging for something to do. This is what Mr. Man spitted out. I am an Iron Man lover. Something about the role, something about the suit that gets me excited and all happy inside. I loved the first one, and I liked the second one. I can't exactly tell you why I think this because I don't even know. I just know that it was a decently good movie. Someone mentioned not wasting money to watch it in theaters, and I would have to say I agree. It's a good movie. It's worth watching, but it isn't work $15-$20. That's just my opinion on the money side of it. But like I said, the movie was good. I will definitely be getting it on Blu-Ray. Only for the character, haha! For some reason, I love Iron Man.

Top 2 Tuesday

Top 2 things you want to do before you die:

At this point and time in my life, this is what I would chose. Ask me again in a few years, and I can almost guarantee it will change because hopefully most of this will already be accomplished.
1. Have a family-- I come from a big family. I have a large family. I want a big family. I love children. I love teaching children and being a mentor for children, hence my major (Elementary Education). I really just want my own family, teach my own children, have a large family, and enjoy the life that we have.
2. Travel the world-- I really enjoy traveling. I really enjoy the history of different places. I enjoy looking at old things, seeing places that others aren't able to, and taking advantage of the area where I am located. With that being said, my top travel destinations (other than Italy) is Paris, Greece, Germany, Egypt, Spain, and Ireland. These are in no specific order. (I have already been to Scotland, and we are headed out to Italy in 10 days.) I would also like to go on a cruise.

Melford/Iron Man

Here are some of the pictures from when we went to Melford.
Of course, Mr. Man had to get a picture of the sheep.
(Notice it is also peeing!)

As we were walking up to the house, I was telling Mr. Man to "Shhh!" because he was being loud!
 He caught it on camera.

Here is the front of the house as we were approaching it.
It was beautiful.

A few pictures of the inside, but I promise I won't put too many!
The first is one of the living areas.
The second is one of the bedrooms.
The first picture was in one of the walk ways.
Pottery from China, which was located all around the house. Very, very old.
The first picture is a chandelier as you walk up the stairs.
The second picture is of the family chapel.

This house is still being lived in all in working condition. You should read the history on the house if you are interested in this kind of thing. You can read about it here.

We walked through the town to the cathedral.
We came across some beautiful daisies!
Here is the church!
Want to know more about this church? Visit here.

I really hate how this site takes away the quality of my pictures...

Next topic: Iron Man
1. Have you seen the first one? If so, did you like it?
2. Are you interested in seeing the second one? If you have already seen it, what did you think about it?

We are going watch it today, so I will let you know what I think!

A Little Bit of Everything... Including GTKY Sunday

Today is Sunday! My favorite day of the week!

The last couple of days I have having a small cough here and there and get extremely tired and achy at night. Yesterday, while we were out and about, I bought me some medicine. Last night was by far the worst of it so far. I was so tired by 7pm. I just wanted to go to sleep and never wake up. I felt like I could sleep for a couple of days straight! Well I took the medicine right then and laid on the couch. I fell asleep hard. I was definitely drooling. Once I woke up and realized this, I told Mr. Man that I was going upstairs to bed, which I did. I passed smoothed out and do not remember anything up until this morning. I woke up feeling much better, but I still had a very, very slight sore throat. I have just been drinking tons of water today, and hopefully tomorrow I will be up and running again.

Sunday's are our BBQ days. We sit outside, BBQ dinner, and just enjoy each others company. We normally even BBQ on not so pretty days, including the winter months. It's just one of those traditions that we have started and has stuck with us. Today, I took Mr. Man grocery shopping (which I normally do not do) to get some small things. I told him he could get some fresh fish if he wanted, too. Well, when we got to the fish area, guess what Mr. Man picks out?! Sting ray wings!! Seriously! I have a hard time eating any fish in general. It has to be extremely yummy and cooked just the right way. Well, Mr. Man talks me into it, so what does he throw on the pit today? Yep, you guessed it, the Sting Ray Wings.

I have to say that it was pretty yummy, but for me, it takes a while to get passed the "omg, this is what I am eating" type thing. The whole time I was eating, I kept thinking about a trip me and my family took when I was younger. We went to the zoo. We held and feed sting rays. The ones we held did not have their stingers, but the ones we fed did. Then, there was our trip to Disney World, where we went snorkeling. Of course, with Sting Rays. As I am eating, this is all I could think about. It was mentally hard to do. Mr. Man kept saying, "You know it tastes good so just eat it." I would say, "I'm not so sure I like it." Then he would say, "You only do not like it because of what it is." After thinking about it for a few seconds (each time), I realized that was true. So I kept eating away. Now that it is in my tummy, I have to say that it was pretty darn good. I think I would eat it again.

When Mr. Man got back from his deployment, I made our boy a bandana shirt. I never took a picture of it, but one of my friends did. I thought I would share it.

So, we had another funny today. I am getting to the point where I realize Mr. Man is actually home. He keeps trying to help me,  but I forget he is even around to help me. Sounds horrible, I know, but it's true. For example, today.. after we went grocery shopping, I parked the car and asked him to go underlock the door for me, so I could grab the groceries. He replied, "How about you go unlock the door for me, and I will carry in the groceries." So I say ok, and he replies, "Daddy's home now." No arguing there.

And here is the most aggravating/funny story. Not hilarious funny, but it still humored us. We had leftovers from some Bourbon Chicken I made a night or so ago. It was on the top shelf in the refrigerator. As I was putting up groceries, I knocked it off. I tried to grab it, but didn't grab it in time. Ok, so it hits the ground. Normally, this would not be a big deal (and it would not spill) except that Mr. Man totally put the wrong lid on this container. Seriously, Mr. Man? The Bourbon Chicken sauce flies on my foot and flip flops and down my leg. At first I laughed until I realized that he put the wrong lid on the dang thing. So I called for him and made him help me clean it up and put the right lid on it. As he approaches the kitchen, he says, "Daddy's home now!" Haha!! He's so great!

Yesterday, we went and finished getting all of our things we would need for Italy. We are officially down to less than 2 weeks until we head out. I am so excited. I can't wait!!

Now, I will participate in the Getting to Know You with Keely.

The questions are:

1. The most expensive thing hanging in my closet is.....?
My jeans are pretty expensive. I have a pair that were $180 and 2 pairs that were each $120 (and that was on sale). I can justify it, though. (At the time, I'm not so sure I could.) So here's my justification: 1. I am petite. It's hard to find adult clothes that fit me just right. 2. They were on sale and my favorite jeans. 3. I was still in high school when I purchased them. If I am not mistaken, I believe I was a Freshman. And they still live up to being my favorite jeans, almost a decade later!
Ask Mr. Man what he thinks about these pairs of Blue Jeans.... I dare you!!  :)

2. Have you ever played a team sport?
Yes, I have. Since I was old enough to walk, I did gymnastics, cheer, dance, softball, and basketball. I played softball, basketball, and cheered through high school. And I very much do miss all of it. I make Mr. Man take me to the batting cages often. I would love to play on the base team, but sadly I am falling apart (knees from catching, wrists from pitching). *sad face* I did play on a co-ed basketball team with Mr. Man and his squadron. I was the only girl in the league (that I have seen). I miss cheering the most. I can't wait to have a little girl, so I can be a cheer coach!!

3. If you were a bug, what kind would you be?
I am not a bug person at all, but... If I had to choose a bug, I would want to be a lady bug. They seem feminine and nice. I would want to be a bright red one with more than 3 black spots. Those are the cutest!

4. Where on your body is the worst place to get sunburned?
Neck, I hate when things touch my neck, including my hair. My hair either has to sit higher than my lower neck or longer. Otherwise, it will bother me. Sunburn on the neck, makes me want to scratch it just thinking about it.

5. Are you happy?
I very much am. I am so blessed with the things I have in life. I could not as for more!

6. People are always abbreviating..are there any abbreviations that make your skin crawl when people use them?
You know what. Actually, this is one of my pet peeves. Like "tard" for retard, "commy" for commissary, "sammy" for sandwich, "O-M-G" (like actually saying the letters) instead of saying oh my gosh, etc. I live a military life, and that in itself has enough abbreviations for me.

7. Do you love where you live..or could you live anywhere?
Oh my!!! I absolutely adore where I live. I would not want to have it any other way. We want to try to extend here or get another overseas base. If I could PSC anywhere, I would want to go to Japan, Italy, and Hawaii. Maybe one day we will hit all these spots.

8. What, if any, extreme measures do you go to to keep yourself from overeating when you're full?
I am a self-disciplined person. I do not really have to do anything to stop myself from eating. Before, when I had not grew to understand and have self-control, I would put some of my water in my food (if I was out somewhere). At the house, I just don't buy what we shouldn't eat or I will hurry and throw it away (or put it up) once I am full and shouldn't eat more.

Friday Follow and Other Fun:

Friday Follow

Today I had another goofy moment. I am an American. I currently live in another country. I sometimes forget this. Like today, when we were out and about sightseeing, doing the family thing, I decide to leave my brain in the car. I bought something at a gift shop. I did not need the receipt because it was something small and I paid cash for it. So I ask the cashier if she has "trash", meaning if she had a trash can with trash to throw the receipt away. Well she was a little old lady, and he reply was, "Do I have what?" About that time, I realized what I had said and just nicely took the receipt and said Thank you. After Mr. Man and I got outside, we started rolling. I could not believe I had just did that! I have been in this country for over 2 years, and I totally forgot that they say "rubbish" and not "trash"!! Oh well, it was funny.

We did have a good day out and about. It was a day just for Mr. Man and myself. We went to a town nearby and just walked it. We came across a nice Cathedral and a Hall, so we stopped at both of those places. I will post a couple of pictures when I edit them. Mr. Man was the one taking pictures.... this go round.

Tomorrow is a day filled with shopping to get the things for our Italy trip!! Only 16 more days!

Episode #1:

I want to post this before we head out for the day. Yesterday, we had a hilarious (!!!) episode here in the house. Of course, it was because of something I did. So I thought I would share.

I have been trying to finish washing all of Mr. Man's things from his deployment. His bedding just smelled musky, so I decided to go ahead and wash it. I was changing it from the washer to the dryer. He was watching dinner for me while I did this. So I always put in a dryer sheet when I know things are going to be stored away for a long period of time. When I reached for the box of dryer sheets, the box fell behind the dryer. The hole behind the dryer is just large enough for something small and just the right size to fall in. Obviously, dryer sheet boxes are small. It is also just big enough for me to squirm my way through it from the top of the dryer. This is where my "deployment independence" sets in. But I guess my brain never registered. So, I climb on top of the dryer. At this point, Mr. Man hears me. I ask him for help, but he told me to hang on. Well, I just did not have time to hang on. Why? I really do not know other than that I knew I have gotten some things from behind the dryer before, like clothes and things. Nothing all the way down the bottom though. And we all know I am short.

So what happens next?
I squirm my way behind the dryer to grab the box of dryer sheets. It was easier than I expected until I hit the bottom. I went head first. I grab the dryer sheets with one hand and realize that I can not squirm my way back up it because one hand has the dryer sheets and the majority of my weight in down in the whole. Great! At this point, I am giggling. I tried putting the box of dryer sheets in my mouth. (I just bit the tab.) Still with two hands, I could not do anything. Now I am laughing my heart out. I am laughing so hard that I fall further in. Now, I am screaming at Mr. Man to come help me. When he sees what  happened, all he could do was laugh. I am still laughing, too. But when he laughs he puts his head on my butt and is laughing hard! So his shaking pushes me farther in. Great! So we are both giggling about it, but it is starting to hurt me because my hip bone is jammed into the corner of the washer. So (while I am laughing) I start screaming! I was in so much pain. Actually I have a huge bruise from it. So anyway, Mr. Man tries to pull me out, but he can not because he is laughing too hard. I am squirming every which way (while the dryer sheets box is in my mouth) trying to make my hip go somewhere else. It hurt!! So finally Mr. Man stands on the washer (good thing he is not too tall) and pulls me by my feet straight up out of the hole.

We both sat there on top of the washer and dryer and laughed for a good 10 minutes. We were both laughing so hard that we are crying. It was beyond hilarious!! Like, hilarious does not even begin to describe how funny it was. Now everytime I think  back, I laugh so darn hard. I am laughing as I type this right now. All Mr. Man could say afterward was, "What if I was still deployed?" Oh gosh, what would I have done then?
