On Thursday, we had a spouse get together. It is always low key, which makes it the best. We mingle, plan something to do, and eat. This time we watched a movie. We each bring a fun snack food that we enjoy to eat while watching a movie. It has become one of our events to do for these gatherings. One of my friends chose "Remember Me."
It was a cute movie. I knew nothing about it, so I was completely caught off guard for the ending. It is a nice romantic, love story between a very young couple. They each have their little life adventures that impact their lives in a huge way, which is part of what brings them together. They work together to figure things out for themselves and their families, and then.... there's the sad, sad ending. I really wanted it to be a happy ending. Not sure what I was looking for, but what happened definitely was not what I was thinking or hoping for.
Over all, it was a good movie. Very cute, sweet, a little funny, and a little sad. It would be worth a watch, but not worth a movie theater visit.
Have you seen it? What did you think of it?

ReplyDeletei thought it was ok ... however i did think they tries super hard to get people to cry ... lol ... i mean if the opening scene didnt get you ... or the mid movies crisis with the little girl... then the ending sure will throw you over the edge... it was ok ... i think most of the appeal is robert pattinson ;0)

ReplyDeleteHi, visiting from the LBS tea party. I've not seen Remember Me, I think I'd like to sad ending and all. I like Pierce Bronson very much, also like to see Emilie de Ravin outside of Lost.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a good night.

It's arriving from Netflix tomorrow, so I'm going to read this review later. :) My friend described it as angsty... I have to say Rob Pattinson + angst makes me want to gag, but I'm a sucker for romantic comedies, haha.
