New Blog, New Title, but Same Me!

I just wanted to let my readers know that I will soon have a new blog layout, new title, and a button, but it will still be the same lifestyle, the same journeys, and the same fun - just with a little twist.

Once I officially have this adorable new blog layout, title, and button, I will properly introduce the design and give my many thanks to who was involved in helping me recreate my blog!

For now, it is Friday. One of which is my official favorite day of the week for blog land. Normally, I would participate in all these wonderful blog hops from some wonderful people I have met through their blogs and post a Fitness Friday. However, I will not be posting a Fitness Friday today because my new design will have it's own little section for my fitness endeavors! I will still participate in these wonderful blog hops, which are enough to make Friday's still the most awesome day of the week in blog land.

I also wanted to mention that I would love to start doing some guest blogging on my blog. I have not decided which day of the week it will take place, but I would love to know if anyone would be interest in this opportunity. There are a few of you that I love already and some of you that are new to me, and I would love to get to know you better. I also think this is a great way for my readers to get to know one another and form a small community. Who's with me? I would love to have some military spouses from all branches, some Mommy's, and some civilians.. anyone is acceptable! If you would be interested, you can either just comment here letting me know or sending me a personal email.
Crossing my fingers that you will love the new blog and the new adventures!
P.S. The CSN Stores giveaway ends July 31st. Enter here. Stay tuned to ways to earn WAY more entries!

Florence: Day 1

I know I am way behind on all the pictures. Please forgive me!

After we visited Rome, we moved on to Florence.

On the first day in Florence, we decided to just walk around and get to know the city. I had already marked the map on things we wanted to see, and I knew once we figured where everything was at, the sightseeing would be a breeze. It really was! We took a couple of stops at a few churches, climbed the tower, and had dinner in the main square. Even took some pictures from our hotel window.

I tried to limit the pictures, so it would not be overwhelming. I hope you enjoy!

Here are some pictures from a couple of the churches.

The next are a couple of views from the tower we climbed.

The view from our dinner the first night.

And the view from our hotel.

I absolutely love how each city has their own style and way of doing things. They each carry their own personalities and variety of people! It was completely different from Rome, but just as awesome. We loved it!

Somebody's Watching Me:

Is it you?

I really do always feel like someone is watching me a little too close, like they are waiting for something unexpectedly to happen or for me to fail miserably at life. It is quite amusing if you ask me. It's even funnier when you bring it to their attention and they choke up over it or deny it.

There is a difference between someone motivating and inspiring another to this person becoming obsessed with the other and wanting them to lose sight of themselves. I do not think people intentionally think that in their head, but I do think that their actions suggest that. I find it extremely creepy for someone to be so in-tune to my life that they feel they need to know my every move, so they go straight to my blog or Facebook. Sometimes will even pass by my house. I find their actions to be slighty stalker-ish.

Like seriously, I had one person tell Mr. Man that they passed by my house and one of our cars were not there. They wanted to know where we were at. Seriously? You are not my Mom or my Dad or any of my grandparents. And even they do not do that stuff. I have a ton more stories, but seriously, I am not blowing up this blog over it because of the simple fact - I am over it.

It's actually pretty annoying and slightly creepy. I do not get on Facebook at all anymore. When I do, I go straight to my games and that is when I am extremely bored. Mr. Man actually gets on it way more than I do, which is when he has free time at work.. which is also very little. So no one will be finding any juicy information on us there. The most information you will get out of me is my blog because it is about my personal life. But really, I live a boring life. I think people have a hard time accepting that.  Not to mention, it is my life. I will live it the way I want, which leads me to another topic.

It is my life. It is my little adventure that I am enjoying. Not anyone else's, so if there is something that I do and you do not think it was the best move or do not approve, I am sorry. Actually, I am not sorry. If you feel the need to crash on my parade of life, go for it. I am the type of person to brush it off my shoulders. I am a very independent and strong woman. I do not worry about what others think of me and what I am doing. As long as I am happy and doing it for myself, that's all that matters.

Another thing, I can not stand when people make false assumptions and spread the assumptions around. Truthfully, they are false accusations and quietly annoying.

This mentality over these childish acts and my strong personality have definitely come from being a military wife. I am thankful that I am able to let things fly high and forget about them, but do not ever think I will forget about you. You meaning the stalker :)

Oh, and another piece of advice. Ever heard of the saying, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all." I would say that is some good piece of advice. Oh, and another thing... Never think you are overly educated or better than everyone else because seriously, it makes you look that much more like a dummy. Just looking out for you fellow friends, just looking out for you. (Read this paragraph with tons of bubbly sarcasm. It might seem humorous.)

I did not write this blog out of frustration or anger. I just needed to get it out there because I do have these issues with people, and it does get quite annoying when it's repetitive. Just think about what you are saying and doing before you do it. Think about if you would want someone doing or saying that you. Just try and respect other people's lives.

By the way, the song is an inside joke between me and Mr. Man because of this situation. Yep, he even sees it. And when we see these people or hear from them, we bust out the tunes!

Thursday Thunnks

1. What is the most common question that you are asked (in life) that is none of the questioner's business?
People ask me all the time when we are going to have little feet running around. I only like people to know my story that I want to tell, so it gets annoying when everyone is asking me.

2. Who makes you happiest right now?
Many people make me happy. Right now, Mr. Man is #1 (next to God!).

3. Would you consider yourself to be spoiled?

I am spoiled to an extent. I do not have the best of the best, but I do live fairly leisurely. This is thanks to my hard-working husband!

4. Do you want to be famous one day?
No, I have no desire to be famous at all. I like living a peaceful and private life.

5. Could you handle being in the military?
Good question. I am sure I could do it if I had to,  but I have no desire to. I would never want to have to go to war. But I can survive the military life, obviously!

6. Do you believe in Karma?
I believe in God. I believe you get what you deserve and what is meant to happen.

7. What’s the stupidest thing you ever did with your cell phone?
Before Mr. Man and I were married, I was talking to him while he was on break during Tech School. I was also pumping gas into my car. Mr. Man and I hung up, and I set my phone on my hood. I forgot about it and drove off. Immediately went and got a new one right when I realized.

8. Who knows a secret or two about you?
I do not really have secrets, so I'm going with God.

9. Who is the most experimental person you know?
One of my cousins. She has experimented with jobs, guys, drugs, alcohol, etc. She could fit this description.

10. Last thing you did that ticked off your S/O (or if not in a relationship) most recent S/O?

I really do not remember. We have not been mad at each other in a long time. It was probably something with the house chores or wanting to sleep when things needed to be done. Problem something small.

11. Have you ever purposely been irritating to someone? If yes, explain.
Haha, I sing to Mr. Man in the shower to get on his nerves. He hates it, but he does laugh about it. I generally will sing Madonna or Britney Spears... maybe some Lady Gaga or a nursey rhyme. Haha!

12. What's crazy to you?
:People say I'm crazy for being a military wife. Some people say I am crazy for getting married so young. Some people say I am crazy for doubling up on school. Some people say I am crazy because I have my "wild moments." Wild moments that aren't so wild, seriously. Ha!

13. Who (other than the three of us TT writers) writes the most interesting blog?
Really? Please do not make me answer this question. I follow some amazing blogs. Some that I absolutely love. I adore Kristin at Windy Poplars. My recently favorite is Miss JLA at Stilettos and a fishing pole. I absolutely feel like I connect with Mrs. S at The Adventures of Mr. Superman and Mrs. S. Goodnight Moon.

Nail Polish Rocks! (And My Secret)

I thought I would share my 5 nail polishes colors that I wore a lot this summer. I know for most of you the flip-flop season is still going strong. For me, not so much. It is so off and on, but I thought I would go ahead and show me my favorite colors that I got tons of compliments on and I loved on myself. Hopefully your summer is still hanging around, so you can try out this colors if you wish!

I am talking about the colors and not the brand. Some of the brands are the actual nail polish that I used, but I could not find all of them in the brand I have, so I thought I would just give you an idea of what color I am talking about.

Also, majority of these were worn on my toes, but I bet they would look good on fingers, too!

1. Tangerine- I wore this on my toes. To me, it is a fairly neutral color. I was able to were it for a couple of weeks without feeling like it clashed with anything I wore. It is a nice color for a beach day or a BBQ. I am not a bright orange person, but this color is totally a color for me.

2. Blood Red- Who doesn't like blood red? I'm not a fan of this on my fingers although I did wear it for a couple of weeks this summer on my fingers. I prefer this color on my toes. It seems to compliment any skin complexion. This color will always be one of my favorites.
  (Picture: Essie Red Nouveau)

3. Fuchsia- This was a new one for me this summer. I wore it on my toes only. I am not brave enough to wear it on my fingers, but I loved this color. It was bold and bright, but still classy.

4. Blue- This was definitely big time favorite this summer. Another one of those that I would only wear on my toes, but I seriously loved the boldness of it. Blue is such a nice neutral color, too.

5. Light Purple- This was my first time ever attempting a color like this, and I actually wore it on my fingers. I got so many compliments on it from a variety of people. It made my skin appear darker than normal, which I need since I have such light skin. Seriously, this is one of my colors. It just naturally looked good on me and boost the glow in my skin. I find it to be a neutral color for any outfit, too. I actually wore this color for over 4 weeks. That's how much I loved it.

My secret:
My secret is do NOT get any sleep one night out of the week. Just run off of about 3 hours or less, and you will accomplish everything, seriously. Remember the blog "No Sleep = Long Day"? Well that long day got much accomplished. I seriously cooked (like normal), did double the cardio and added in some abs to my workout, and finished all my school work for the week, which included a test, two essays, and some homework problems for my math class. Seriously, that is the secret! I do not know how I managed, but I did. I never once got tired. I never once threw a fit and wanted to just sleep. I actually had a hard time falling asleep that night because I felt wide awake (probably wired from lack of sleep), but somehow I was so functional. I got a normal sleep for this whole 12 hour night shift and am still going like a champ today.

Shopping Around:

I love to shop. I am constantly shopping, whether it is online or in person. Seriously, it could be shopping for some cute summer clothes, dressy formal wear for upcoming events, or even home decor. Recently, I mentioned about us buying new sofas for our living room. (Speaking of, they are due to arrive in the beginning of August! Almost there!)

I have been thinking a lot about new house furniture and such. I always seem to want to upgrade, and I love to shop in advance. One of these things I have been thinking about is a new bedroom vanity. I have a  vanity. It is an antique vanity that Mr. Man bought me one year for Christmas. I am obsessed with it. It's like my security. I love my makeup and my hair supplies, so my vanity has been a lifesaver. I have been thinking about when we have kids, what would I do with it because it's so huge. Obviously, this would be if we were still in this house. This house is so small, and I would be afraid I would need to get something smaller. But the benefits would be to get something much more modern and elegant. As these thoughts crossed my mind, I decided to dig around and see if I could find anything that I would like.

I came across an awesome website that seriously has every type, color, and style. I am seriously in love. You should check it out! I found a few that I am absolutely in love with and would buy in a split second with no regrets. One of them is this cherry wood vanity. I love it because of the fact that 1.) it matches my bedroom furniture 2.) it is really elegant and dressy 3.) it would hold my makeup and hair stuff perfectly and 4.) the mirror. The mirror is seriously to die for. I personally find that it is affordable, too, so of course that is a plus! Ahhh, I want it! I want it like right now!

This one seriously has me dreaming about a perfect princess palace bedroom. It is this white, elegant vanity. Isn't it so pretty and elegant? Like seriously, it is only a day dreaming vanity, but it is gorgeous. I look at it and think of a young girly teen and can picture a white jewelry/trinket box sitting on top of it. You know the trinket boxes that plays music when you open it up. Yea, that is what I picture when I look at that vanity. I could totally see a young girl's ballet slippers hanging from the side of it. It would be amazing for my own perfect little princess (if I could afford it, haha! and if I had a "little princess" in the first place).

Do you see what I use a lot of my time doing? Shopping... shopping for things I really do not need. One day I may need it, but right now, not so much.
So do you have a vanity? If not, do you want one?

I never really thought about a vanity until we moved into our first house. When I decided I wanted a vanity, I wanted it right then and there. It has seriously been a lifesaver for me (and Mr. Man) in the mornings. I spend a lot of time at it. Probably more than I should. It is definitely one of my favorite pieces of furniture in my house, and I would hate to ever have to part with it!

50 Adjectives: Focused

First off, to be honest, I'm not sure that focused is even an adjective. But it is in my book because I am a focused person! What do you think, adjective or verb? Either way, it describes me.

focused:

noun- a central point, as of attraction, attention, or activity.

verb- to concentrate.

When I have my mind set on something, I normally zone in on it and until it is accomplished, I have all my focus on it. I am a very determined and self-motivating person when it comes to my dreams, goals, and things I want. Here is a list of things I am focused on now.

1. My Life- That is an obvious answer. My life is important to me. The way I carry myself, the things I achieve, the person I want to be are all important factors to me.

2. School- I am 100% committed to school. I love learning, and I can not wait to teach what I have learned to my future students. Honestly, I love school so much that I would be willing to be a full-time student for the rest of my life.

3. My Family's Future- I constantly think about what our future holds. For me, I want the best and will not settle. When I say I want the best, I mean I want to have what I can have, what is controllable. For example, I wanted a certain amount of money in a separate savings account for our children. That is what I am talking about. Not having the most expensive car or the biggest house, or whatever else people want these days. I just want a successful life and a secure future for my family.

4. Our Finances- I seriously zone in on our finances like a hawk. I put money in to savings every month. I budget like a mad woman. I make it work. I want to make it work. Why? For our future.

5. My Faith- My faith is very important to me. It's my foundation of life. It is exactly what has made me who I am today, and without it I am nothing.

6. My Health- Of course, we all knew I was going to put this one. There are so many health issues that run in my family, so it is important to me that I take care of myself the best way I can.

7. Fitness- This kind of goes with health, but I have more goals than just eating healthy. I want to be fit. I want to be that person that can still function at 50 and 60.

8. Lists- I am a nerd about lists. I always have to be organized. I have lists for our money budgets. I have lists for our travels. I make a gazillion grocery lists because I shop at 2, sometimes 3, different places a week. I have lists for things that need to get done around the house. I have my to-do lists when I have errands to run. I have lists for things I need to bring with me to appointments. I have a wish list of clothes, panties, bras, workout accessories, Wii games, books, traveling accessories, etc. I love my lists!

9. Traveling- I definitely want to be able to travel as much as possible throughout my whole life. Not just while I am here in England, but for forever. I never want it to end. I have a lists of places I want to see and during which time frames. Have I mentioned that Mr. Man got approved for us to go to Ireland over the Thanksgiving break?! I started planning that already!

10. Future Deployments- I constantly think about when Mr. Man will deploy again. Not because I dread it or anything of that matter. It is mostly because I know it is going to happen, and I try to plan around it if I can figure out about when he will leave. Right now, I am estimating he will leave next August for 6 months.  So with wanting to travel and such, I try to plan around that time-frame and make it work. However, this is the Air Force, he can leave at any moment, for any time, and I am well aware of that, too.

11. Love- Of course, I focus on love. Love in my marriage. Love between my family and friends. Loving and not hating. I'm happy when I love, so loving is a big part of my life.

12. Friendships- I definitely love my friends, and I absolutely focus some time to hang with them. I want to be there for them just like they are there for me. I need my girl time. I need my fun girls nights. I need my girl talk. And I need the extra support. Who doesn't? I love my friends! They totally rock! I also love the new blog friends I have recently met. I never realized how big this blog world was and who I could meet through it all. I have definitely built some lasting friendships through this, and I hope to one day be able to hang out with you guys or cross paths at some point in our lives. That would be way cool!

And I am focused on my blog! DUH!
